Hayden Foster, 7th Dan of the Institute of Aikido examined the promotion tests. Persons passing their examinations were Nidan: Alan Perin and John Oakins, Shodan: Keith Newton, and Ruth McWilliams of Reading.

Hayden Foster, instructing for over 40 years now, is one of the founders of Aikido in England. He will be visiting Lowestoft in May 2001 to teach on THE BIG THREE

The Big Three course has been running for three years and attracts three of the most renown Aikido teachers in England,  Mr. Hayden Foster 7th Dan, Mr. William Smith 6th Dan, and Mr. Thomas Moss, 5th Dan. The event draws over 200 Aikido practitioners.
