AIKIDO TECHNIQUES

KAITENAGE

Kaitenage throws are momentum throws, but are more characterized by their tendencies to shift directions and balances very fluidly. As with most Aikido techniques, Kaitenages require good timing and footwork.

By some descriptions, Kaitenage has been referred to as a rotary throw.

  1. Munetsuki Kaitenage

  2. Katatetori Kaitenage

  3. Katatori Kaitenage

  4. Shomenuchi Kaitenage

  5. Yokomenuchi Kaitenage
